Ocean landscape regeneration

Regeneration of ocean landscapes is one of the best ways to improve ocean health and fight climate change. Seagrass restoration, in particular, has great potential to increase the absorption and storage of carbon dioxide, in a natural process known as carbon sequestration.

The Sea Ranger Service is currently developing its first landscape regeneration pilots in Europe and will scale regeneration projects as it scales its approach and capacity internationally from 2021.

With its unique offshore capacity, the Sea Ranger Service is in a strong position to carry out this work on a semi-permanent basis, in close collaboration with partners. In this way, ocean landscape regeneration can be more readily scaled.
