Dutch recruitment firm Randstad and the Sea Ranger Service signed a collaboration agreement today to accelerate the opportunities of young people to go into maritime jobs. The collaboration was started from a mutual desire to enthuse and recruit young people for the maritime professions in a more creative way. In addition, with this collaboration, Randstad supports the mission of the Sea Ranger Service to reintegrate young people with a distance from the labour market into work.

Job guarantees

The core of the collaboration is offering work to young people who come from the Sea Ranger Bootcamp and want to work in the port. Randstad will make 12 job guarantees available to bootcamp participants. These job guarantees are offered under the conditions that young people are flexible with regard to their working hours and work area.

During the Sea Ranger Bootcamp, Randstad will look at how the participating young people are performing and to provide CV and job application training. Bootcamp participants will be long-term unemployed young people as well as highly educated young people. The offer of job guarantees will, as far as possible, be geared to this.
